Coming to West Harbor on the LA Waterfront

Wagbar LA will be located at West Harbor in San Pedro, bringing our off-leash dog park and bar experience to the Los Angeles Waterfront.

We’re creating a waterfront gathering place where dogs can play, people can relax, and the local community can come together.

What to Expect at Wagbar LA

Wagbar is more than a dog-friendly patio. It’s an experience designed from the ground up for dogs and their people.

At Wagbar LA, the planned experience includes:

• Drinks, food, and waterfront atmosphere
• Membership and day-pass options
• Events and community gatherings
• Dog-focused entry and safety standards
• Partnerships with local rescues and dog organizations
• A place to visit even when you don’t bring a dog

Entry and Safety Requirements

For the safety and comfort of all guests, Wagbar LA will have entry requirements for both dogs and people. Dogs may be required to be at least 6 months old and up to date on Rabies, Bordetella, and Distemper vaccinations. All dogs must remain well-behaved and supervised, and guests will be expected to follow all park rules and safety guidelines.

Wagbar LA will be a 21+ venue. Guests must be at least 21 years old to enter, and a valid ID is required.

Memberships and Day Passes

Whether Wagbar becomes part of your dog’s regular routine or you’re stopping by for an occasional visit, Wagbar LA plans to offer both membership and day-pass options.

Memberships and passes are purchased for dogs. Human guests enter free and are welcome with or without a dog.

Local pricing, membership details, and founding-member opportunities will be announced as we get closer to opening.

Meet the Owners

Wagbar LA is locally owned and operated by Mary Chan and Jennifer Nava, two lifelong dog advocates whose combined experience spans animal care, business operations, leadership, rescue, and community-building.

Mary is a Registered Veterinary Technician with more than 14 years of experience in animal behavior, health, and safety. Her veterinary background will help guide Wagbar LA’s commitment to responsible dog care and a positive play environment.

Jennifer brings more than 20 years of experience leading large-scale training and operations teams. She is also deeply involved in the Los Angeles dog-rescue community and has dedicated her time and resources to supporting adoption and foster programs.

For Mary and Jennifer, Wagbar LA is more than a business. It is a passion project rooted in dogs, rescue, second chances, and creating a place where animals and people feel welcome.

Their own rescue dogs will serve as Wagbar LA’s first ambassadors, representing the resilience, joy, and community at the heart of the location.
