Our Story
The Wagbar Experience: Community, Connection, and Celebrations
In 2015, Kendal, inspired by a less-than-ideal day at a traditional dog park, envisioned a unique concept – Wagbar. The idea was to blend the fun of an off-leash dog park with the social environment of a bar. In November 2019, Kendal and his father Kajur, harnessing their shared passion for dogs and Kajur's expertise in creative design and project management, co-founded Wagbar. Despite the challenges of finding investors and starting a business, they succeeded in creating a safe and joyful setting for dogs and their owners to socialize and unwind.
Despite being built during the COVID-19 pandemic, Wagbar has been a beacon of resilience. Kendal and Kajur were confident that their business was well-suited for social distancing and had safety measures in place for the pandemic. They faced the additional challenge of constructing much of the space themselves, but their commitment to creating the perfect environment for their community resulted in a successful establishment.
Wagbar has since garnered immense recognition and accolades from the community for its innovative concept and excellent service. Their unique approach to a dog-friendly environment has earned them several awards and has been praised by numerous customers. Moreover, they actively engage in community outreach initiatives, emphasizing their commitment to the local community and its furry members.
